Sima Hall is the designated place to ordain layman to be a monkhood by Sangha (monks). It is located at the level 4. The place is significant to Theravada Buddhism where all rituals related to the monks shall be performed in that place. While in Burmese (Myanmar) tradition ladies are prohibited from entering Sima Hall, it is allowed in some modern-day temples including the Burmese Buddhist Temple as Singapore does not impose such a rule.
